PIONEER DISCIPLE: Website
Faded Line All over Britain, Christians are finding fresh ways of making the gospel relevant to people in their communities. The Pioneer Disciple is a one year part-time course which aims to equip people to shape the life of their church in new ways.

START!: Website
Faded Line Devised by the Church Pastoral Aid Society (CPAS), this is a six session basic introduction to the Christian faith. The sessions use a mix of video input, discussion times and activities and space for reflection, in a down-to-earth style intended for small groups.

ESSENCE: Website
Faded Line This is a six-session course devised by the late Rob Frost of Share Jesus International. Essence explores spirituality, or 'how we experience God'. The 6 sessions are a mixture of activities, meditation, reflection and sharing with one another.

ALPHA: Website
Faded Line The best known course of its type, more than two million people in the UK have attended an Alpha course. Lasting about ten weeks, the course is usually based around a small group of about twelve people and combines a talk and time of discussion with a social time over a meal to help members of the group get to know each other. The District is able to offer help to anyone interested in starting or leading an Alpha or Youth Alpha course.

EMMAUS: Website
Faded Line The Emmaus course comes in three stages. "Contact" develops contacts outside the church and prepares for the next stage. "Nurture" is a fifteen week course covering the basics of the Christian faith. "Growth" follows on from the other stages and encourages people to explore further. The District can also provide copies of the Emmaus Training Pack.
