"ON THE EDGE OF PENTECOST"
Tom Stuckey, former President of the Methodist Church in Britain, visiting Scholar at Sarum College and Ecumenical Canon of Salisbury Cathedral is coming to Exeter. Tom has taught missiology and ministers in British Methodism.

Tom is author of several books on mission, the latest entitled 'On the Edge of Pentecost'. He continues to travel widely preaching and will be speaking at the next Fishnets event entitled 'On the Edge of Pentecost'.

Tom says: "I am just enjoying the opportunity of being around and able to say to people 'come on, God is calling us to take risks with faith'...it is amazing that people should kind of need permission to do that. But eyes light up whenever I have said God is re-shaping the Church and he wants you to do things you have never done before. It is so astonishing. I just want to keep saying this in order to help liberate a Church which seems to be trapped in itself."

This event takes place on Monday, 17th November 2008 from 10.30am until 3.30pm at Chapter House, Exeter Cathedral. Attendance is free of charge and lunch is provided, but it is necessary to book your place in advance for catering purposes.

To book, please telephone Telephone 01392 294930 or e-mail Exeter Anglican Diocesan Missioner Mark Rylands.
