"CHRISTIANITY AND THE ARTS"
This Conference is organised by the Spiritual Companions Network for Devon, an ecumenical Network, providing information and contacts for those who support others on their spiritual journey and in the life of prayer, formally or informally.

The conference takes place at South Street Baptist Church, Exeter on Saturday 7 November 2009, running from 10.30 am until 3.15 pm. Speaker for the day is Professor Richard Griffiths, who was Professor of French at University College, Cardiff, and then at King's College, London, where he also served a term as Vice-Principal. He was ordained in the Church of England in 1997, and is currently an NSM curate in the Church in Wales. He is the author of a number of books and articles, and edited The Bible in the Renaissance. In 2005 he published Poetry and Prayer, a Mowbrays Lent Book.

The cost of the day is £11, which includes lunch. Pre-booking is essential, and applications should be made by 18 October with completed booking forms returned by 31 October. A detailed timetable for the day is available to download below, as is the full application form with instructions for returning it.
