About the District

The Plymouth and Exeter District exists to support the local circuit and church in fulfilling the challenges of "Our Calling" (devised by the Methodist Church of Great Britain in 2000).

The role of the District can be described as:

Arrow An enabler of the Church’s mission across the region.
Arrow Serving as link which faces both towards the Connexion and in the direction of the local church and circuit.
Arrow Offering a structure which makes possible what cannot be achieved by circuits and churches alone.
Arrow Supporting ministry in all its forms.
Arrow Consulting with local circuits & churches to help them examine where they are and what they are capable of achieving by a rolling programme of Mission Visits from a District Team.

Please use the links on the left to find out more about the district, or go to the Circuits & Churches section for more details about the sub-divisions of the district.
